The Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice will host a one-day event on Monday, December 10, 2012 in the FTC Conference Center to explore the impact of patent assertion entity (PAE) activities on innovation and competition and the implications for antitrust enforcement and policy. Panelists for the workshop will include academics, economists, industry representatives, and private attorneys.

FILING A COMMENT
The Department of Justice and the FTC are interested in receiving comments on PAE activities and will accept written submissions from the public before the workshop and until April 5, 2013. Interested parties may submit public comments to ATR.LPS-PAEPublicComments@usdoj.gov. Submitted comments will be made publicly available on the Department of Justice and FTC websites.
GOING THROUGH SECURITY AT THE FTC
Please arrive at the Federal Trade Commission a full hour before your meeting and no less than 30 minutes before. You must have a valid government issued photo ID (government badge, license, passport, etc.). The security processing will include a metal detector and X-ray screening of all hand carried items.
