Persons, or recordings, that call to collect a debt incurred by someone deceased should immediately ask: "Are you the person administering the estate of ___?" and, if they are not, then ask only to be directed to - contact information for - the person in charge of administering the estate. Nothing more. Once they have the person in charge of administering the estate, they can proceed in good faith. Thank you.
